timothy greenwood the very talented wildlife artist died on christmas eve 2010 in his cottage beside the banks of loch tummel. timothy was born in chatham, kent on 11th december 1947. he trained at the ravensbourne college of art in bromley and later at the camberwell school of art in london. he became a full time artist in 1968. he was a member of the society of wildlife artists (swla) and was a founder member of the world pheasant association.
tim always had a passionate interest in birds and animals and all his life was able to translate this into detailed paintings in several art mediums and experimented successfully with techniques like dying art paper with brews of nettles or tea to achieve a background tone that he wanted for a particular painting.
