A fine ormolu or mercury/fire gilt bronze of a woman in orientalist dress. probably a representation of a turkish woman from the period of the greek revolution against the turkish empire. the french made clocks, porcelain and bronzes representing facets of this war of the third decade of the 19th century. this is certainly a piece from this period and in fine original condition with no discernable damage. france circa 1825-30. 11.5 inches high by 9 inches wide ( 28.75 cms by 22.5 cms).
