We are proud to offer this master-piece made and signed by delphin massier vallauris (am).
circa 1880.
modelled as sparrows perched on a cross-bar and rim of a stone well on a circular mound base 17 inches (43 cm.). it is 25" 5/8 (65 cm.)tall.

excellent condition as pictured.

we want to point out that some wishing wells have been auctioned a few years ago in well-known auction houses of new york with prices that go from $ 8000 to $ 12.000. some of them were not signed by the artist delphin massier but attributed to him.

delphin massier was a very important artist of that time, with three generations of ceramists and manufacturers of majolica pieces. this was the atelier chosen by picasso to manufacture his artworks.
